After playing house for a good two weeks with the Mister and getting used to stepping around suitcases and boxes, I've my little studio to myself again (although I don't particularly enjoy how big and empty it feels now) and got around to cleaning and re-decorating. I was so proud, I decided to take some photos and share it here on the blog... My neighbor was actually in the midst of throwing out his coffee table, so I offered to take it off his hands, broken leg and all. I fixed it, and now I luckily have another place to lay out my magazines and primp in the morning. The Mister also gifted me with some interesting decorum before he left: a giant Lone Star beer lamp (not pictured above), the snap polaroids poster, and the Ozzy and Robert Downey Jr. mug shots lovingly displayed on my wall. So I guess, even though he's gone, a part of him is still here with me in a most humorous way.

In other news... I'm loving my new fedora, kimono, and the two pairs of badass boots I got from work. They're some of my go-to pieces at the moment, hence why they're readily available and not tucked away in my closet. Also, I've become deeply enveloped by a book I found at Value Village recently entitled 'Sex Signs' by Judith Bennett. Its sort of a manual to navigating through love, sex, independence, spirituality, anger, and personal power; and I'm hooked. It isn't your generic guide to astrology or horoscopes, it doesn't "predict" the future. Rather, it breaks down the most common characteristics and traits of each sign and gives you insight on how you can best put them to use, to take charge of your own life and write your own destiny... It really is a fascinating read. I carry it with me every day, and rest it on the side table every night <3
